Mia Katrin is the founder and creative inspiration for JEWEL COUTURE LLC, established in 2003. Her award-winning Collections are featured in over 100 top stores nationally. They've been chosen by Hollywood A-Listers.

​Mia regularly travels around the world visiting her factories in Jaipur and Mumbai India and collecting world-class precious gems, from Colombian emeralds to Tahitian pearls.  She has studied metalsmithing from master goldsmiths.

An industry authority on style and design, Mia is a regular Byline columnist for The Jewelers Collective and Southern Jewelry News. Her trend-setting Collections for Jewel Couture are also regularly featured in top media publications such as JCK Magazine  and InStore Magazine. She is a frequently invited speaker at conferences such as AGS Conclave and AGTA GemFairTucson. Formerly a Philosophy Professor, Mia holds a PhD in Aesthetics from the University of Chicago.

Jewel Couture is based in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains of western North Carolina. Mia derives inspiration from the natural beauty of the region as well as the exquisite realm of jewels.
